The VOICEYE smartphone application provides access to printed information for individuals with print impairments by using a VOICEYE code on printed material. Key information about the VOICEYE code includes:

• VOICEYE codes can store up to two A4 pages of text on a compact 2.5 square centimeter code.
• No internet connection is required to decode a VOICEYE code, as the data is stored within the code itself.
• The VOICEYE App utilizes the phone camera to scan the code automatically, transferring all text content onto the phone.

By incorporating VOICEYE codes into printed material, users gain access to a wide range of information such as educational materials, governmental documents, books, and more. This innovative solution has seen successful implementation in various sectors in South Korea, including schools for the blind, universities offering special education programs, publishing houses, government entities, and local newspapers. Particularly beneficial for individuals with Dyslexia and visual impairments, the Korean government has integrated VOICEYE solutions into official documentation like social security information, utility bills, and tax documents.

The VOICEYE App enables users to scan a VOICEYE code located on the top right corner of printed materials, facilitating easy access to purchased books, study materials, utility bills, and prescriptions. The scanned content is automatically opened on the smartphone and can be read aloud using Text-to-Speech (TTS) software such as TALKS or Mobile Speaks. The VOICEYE code is generated through the VOICEYE Maker Add-In compatible with MS-Word, Quark Xpress, and Adobe InDesign programs commonly used in publishing.
